Hi John,
We need you to take action on Line 5!
It’s time to urge the Army Corps of Engineers to perform a thorough review of the proposed Line 5 re-route. Enbridge Pipeline 5, or Line 5, slices across Wisconsin along the Lake Superior shoreline and through the Bad River Reservation. Now, it’s old and falling apart – a ticking time bomb that could spill crude oil into our waters while continuing to make us dependent on fossil fuels. The time has come to shut this antiquated pipeline down.
Stop Line 5: take a minute to urge the on the Army Corps to do its work >>>
There’s no question the longer Enbridge’s Line 5 operates, the greater the risk it is to Lake Superior, the climate and the many communities that could be impacted by a spill. Enbridge wants to extend the life of this 70 year old pipeline by building a reroute – that poses the same risks – and we need to make sure the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers does a thorough review of the project before making any decisions on permits.
We must tell the Army Corps of Engineers it cannot take any shortcuts and must do the most thorough environmental review possible of the proposed reroute to protect our waterways, communities, and wildlife along the pipeline.
Stop Line 5: urge the the Army Corps not to take any shortcuts on Line 5 >>>
