Lauren Underwood For Congress

John — big news!

Lauren introduced the Climate and Health Protection Act, legislation to help communities navigate the public health impacts of climate change.

Expanding access to health care and addressing public health crises are cornerstones of Lauren’s tenure in Congress and her entire career, spanning back to her work as a nurse and as a senior advisor in the Obama administration with the Department of Health and Human Services.

Lauren’s latest bill recognizes that climate change is a public health crisis. The Climate and Health Protection Act would strengthen the CDC’s Climate and Health Program, an initiative Lauren has taken the lead to protect and support, recently securing $10 million for 2023.

Among other things, the bill would provide state, local, and tribal communities with data and resources and support health departments and communities as they plan to address the public health impacts of climate change.

With every bill and program Lauren champions, she shows her constituents in IL-14 and people across the country just how groundbreaking her work in Congress is. This grassroots team can work together to send her back for another term!

As we approach our February FEC deadline, can you chip in $4 today to reelect Lauren to a fourth term in Congress so she can continue her work to protect the health of Americans from the consequences of climate change?
