Team, here at New Politics, we’re working to promote courageous and transformational leadership to political office up and down the ballot.

Why is this so important right now?

We’re facing a critical election year, not just in Congress or the White House, but in local and state governments. Our issues loom large, and our choices will be consequential for generations: we need leaders with the courage to oppose unjust practices within their parties, to stand up for what’s right and just, no matter how hard it may be. This kind of courage is essential in every elected official, at every level of government, especially now.

So right now as we’re thinking about putting more courageous in office in 2024, we want to know: What does courageous leadership mean to you? Click here and let us know! [[link removed]]WHAT DOES COURAGE MEAN TO YOU? [[link removed]]

To me, courage means fighting for the well-being of those you represent over anything. Over partisan divides, over media hits, over poll numbers. Courage means putting people over politics even when it gets hard — especially when it gets hard.

It’s easy to be disillusioned with recent lackluster leadership, especially in Congress. From ousting the Speaker to cabinet impeachments with no basis to passing the least amount of legislation since the Great Depression — there is a clear and dire need for courageous leaders.

So we want to know what courage means to you. If you think it’s time for better leadership — let us know what you’re looking for by filling out our survey. [[link removed]]

Looking forward to hearing from you,

New Politics supports outstanding military veterans and national service leaders, alumni of programs like AmeriCorps and the Peace Corps, to step up and serve our country again, this time through politics. We were proud to be behind the movement of veterans who ran for office for the first time in 2018, and we have big plans to grow into the future.
