Hi John xxxxxx, it's Lisa Blunt Rochester – I'm running to become the first woman and Black person to represent Delaware in the Senate.

This Black History Month, I have been reflecting on so many visionaries from the past and who are living among us today. Throughout history, Black Americans have made invaluable contributions to this country despite facing barriers, adversity, and injustice every step of the way.

One of the barriers that we, as Black Americans, have faced is not having sufficient representation in our government – and even today, we still have a long way to go. I'm going to tell you a little bit more about why representation matters, but first, can I ask that you make a split contribution of $15 between my campaign and Hakeem Jeffries? >> [[link removed]]

In its 234 year history, the United States Senate has had 2,003 Senators – and only three of them have been Black women. Let me be blunt and say: that is not enough.

Next year, we have the opportunity to elect Delaware’s first Black Senator and make Hakeem Jeffries the first Black Speaker of the House. Representation in our government is so important because it ensures that our government is working for everyone, not just a select few.

The historic nature of this campaign is not lost on me, though I am not in this fight just to make history. I am in this race to make sure that every Delawareans’ voice is heard and every perspective is represented.

This Black History Month, I'm asking you to help our campaign increase representation in the Senate by winning in November. I can't do this without your support, so can you split any amount between Hakeem Jeffries and our historic campaign in Delaware? >> [[link removed]]

Hakeem Jeffries is the Democratic Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives. Like many of us, Hakeem was raised by a working-class family; His mom was a social worker and his dad was a substance abuse counselor.

Now, as the top Democrat in the House, he’s fighting to stop MAGA extremism and reclaim the majority for Democrats.

Hakeem is committed to electing a record number of Democrats in the next election and beyond. But he can’t compete with Republicans’ special interest cash without our support. Is there any way you could chip in to help?

We know you’re getting a lot of emails, but that’s because Democrats have a clear path to winning back the House – and Hakeem isn’t letting a single second go to waste.
