We’re sending this email to tell you what our February goal is, how we set these goals, and why we need to reach this goal.

Our February fundraising goal is $10,000.

We set these monthly goals for ourselves to know which campaigns we can and cannot support next month and how we can help Democrats up and down the ballot.

As you know, our focus this year is defeating Donald Trump (again!). We’re also focused on protecting the Senate by raising money for Sherrod Brown, Jon Tester, Tammy Baldwin, and others.

To be transparent, that’s where this $10,000 February fundraising goal comes from. This is the minimum we want to raise this month to do our part and support these candidates.

We’ll always be honest with you: if we fall short, nothing horrific will happen. We aren’t going to tell you the sky is falling just because we didn’t reach our goal.

But we do need to do our part this year to support candidates and causes we believe in. We are all part of Win the Era because we deeply believed – and still believe – in our shared vision for what this decade can look like, and in building a future that is more equitable, fair, inclusive, and just.

And to be blunt, that future won’t happen if Trump is president.
