Last night I was set to face off against Catherine Truitt at the sold-out Western Wake Candidate Forum.
My opponent was the only featured guest who was a no-show!
Here's what I told the crowd of over 200 about this:
“We currently have a Superintendent who refuses to show up to the job (interview) that she is being asked to apply for. This is not the only time she has not shown up. I have traveled the state for the last two years and no one has any contact with Catherine. Why? Because she is not proud of the fact that she has put a rubber stamp on every bad idea that has come down from Biden’s U.S Department of Education.”
Catherine Truitt does show up for Thom Tillis and millionaire donors.
She just hosted a party with Thom Tillis in Wake County. I guess she can't be bothered to show up and talk to Republican voters who are her constituents!
Truitt knew I would hold her accountable for failing to keep sexual predators off the certified teacher rolls.
She knew I'd call her about SEL and other federal programs that interfere with REAL learning.
And she knew I would expose her continual financial failures and DPI.
She couldn't take the heat from me and Republican voters. How can she be expected to take the heat from the Democrats in the general election?
She can't, but I can!
