For the first time in American history, our national debt has eclipsed our nation's entire economy. In its first three years, the Biden administration added $6.5 trillion to our debt, and the debt has since ballooned to nearly $35 trillion.

Meanwhile, Congress is preparing to vote on appropriations bills this week in order to fund the government -- with more deficit spending.

John, do you want to know one productive way to reduce that budget deficit? Congress should defund the World Health Organization.

The United Nations' World Health Organization (WHO) is an advisory body on matters of international public health. It is governed by the World Health Assembly (WHA), which is comprised of 194 member nations.

In previous emails, I called your attention to how the WHO (an unelected international body of bureaucrats unaccountable to the American people) is shamelessly trying to seize more power for itself by creating a global pandemic treaty and introducing over 300 amendments to the current international health rules.

Since then, the WHO has relabeled what was formally titled a treaty an "agreement or accord" after President Biden asked for this status change, knowing full well that under our U.S. Constitution, a treaty requires ratification by the U.S. Senate... but an agreement can be adopted without discussion.

Representative Chris Smith (R-N.J.), who joined me on Washington Watch last night from Geneva where he is talking to delegates at the World Health Organization Headquarters this week, has called the agreement "an egregious breach of constitutional principle."

There are many concerns surrounding the proposal, such as:

• The WHO's global agenda and its threat to our national sovereignty,
• The unknown financial obligations for U.S. taxpayers like you,
• The threats to intellectual property rights,
• The censoring of speech that challenges WHO's power grab,
• The funding of abortion on demand, by calling it health care,
• The promotion of a global health philosophy that equates the health of humans with animals and plants,
• And so much more.

The WHO member nations are scheduled to vote on this agreement at the World Health Assembly scheduled for May. We must stop this WHO global power grab before it's too late.

Last year alone Congress sent $434 million in taxpayer money to the World Health Organization. We must defund the WHO and stop financially supporting an organization that is seeking to undermine the sovereignty of the United States and silence citizens who challenge authoritarian actions like mask mandates and forced vaccinations.

We've managed to raise enough alarm in the past that WHO Director General Tedros Ghebreyesus has been complaining that "fake news" and "misinformation" are threatening to derail their efforts.

But it is imperative that we keep up the momentum. Will you join us?

This type of authoritarian behavior is exactly what the WHO's pandemic agreement outlines; that nations "shall" engage in "infodemic management" to ensure that citizens do not receive "too much" or "misleading" information. In layman's terms, under the agreement, the member states can crack down on the freedom of speech of those who disagree with the government's dictates.

Censorship is at the very heart of this entire document.

The success of the World Health Organization's intended goal of global control relies upon secrecy and sowing confusion.

Legacy media has largely ignored the WHO's power grab and the threat to our constitutional freedoms. As FRC and other like-minded people and organizations have sounded the alarm, the WHO is blatantly telling nations to ignore conservative opposition to their agenda as "fake news."

There is not much time. If passed, the WHO agreement would force independent member nations to adhere to its censorship policies, centralized power, and unbiblical conceptions of public health.

Our republic was made for participants, not spectators. We cannot sit back and watch this global power grab diminish our constitutional freedoms and enslave our families.
