Cabinet-Level Changes Announced Today
Missouri Bishop Bob Farr has announced more changes to the Cabinet. Rev. Adrienne Deson Ewell will be the next Northeast District Superintendent.
“I’m excited to appoint a gifted, creative clergywoman to my Cabinet,” said Bishop Farr. “Adrienne has done very well in all her church appointments and is the youngest DS I have appointed as we continue work on becoming a Conference for people from diverse cultures and generations.”
Denson Ewell grew up in St. Louis. She has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Williams College in Massachusetts and a Master of Divinity from Duke. She has served at St. Andrew UMC in Florissant, North Hills UMC in Ferguson, Campbell UMC in Springfield and is currently senior pastor of Red Bridge UMC in Kansas City.
Current Northeast District Superintendent Robin Bell will be appointed Northwest District Superintendent. Northwest District Superintendent David Gilmore has taken an appointment to Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Manhattan, New York.
These appointments will be made at Annual Conference Session in June, with people starting their new appointments in July. Other appointment changes were also posted to the Conference website this morning. To read the latest list go to www.moumethodist.org/appointments.
