In a bone-chilling moment at an annual MAGA convention, leading conservative activist Jack Posobiec called for the "end of democracy."

Dear MoveOn member,

In a bone-chilling moment at an annual MAGA convention, leading conservative activist Jack Posobiec called for the "end of democracy."1

"Welcome to the end of democracy. We are here to overthrow it completely," he said. "We didn't get all the way there on January 6, but we will endeavor to get rid of it."2

As he spoke, former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon—an avowed white supremacist—laughed and shouted, "Amen!"3

This comes shortly after Trump—who has promised to be a dictator on "Day 1" of his next term—said he's willing to let Vladimir Putin and Russia "do whatever the hell they want" to our NATO allies."4

John, these are threats to democracy that our parents warned us about and that our grandparents fought a world war over.

MoveOn has a $32 million plan to counter MAGA propaganda, defeat Trump-style authoritarianism this election, and preserve and defend American constitutional democracy. But MoveOn's funding comes from grassroots supporters like you—and we urgently need your support.

Will you donate $9 today to put an end to Trump's pro-Russia madness and thwart MAGA's plans to overthrow democracy?

MoveOn's $32 million plan to preserve democracy at the ballot box centers on evidence-based strategies that are backed by cold, hard data.

As The New York Times recently reported, winning elections isn't about turning so-called "swing voters" into Biden voters. It's about turning out people who might not go to the polls at all.5

The Times reported that pretty much every election victory we've had in the last two years was due to unexpectedly high turnout—at least 4 points more than projected—by Democratic voters.6

And here's the important part: MoveOn knows exactly how to turn out these same voters in November.

For months, MoveOn's data science team has been crunching the numbers. And our crack scientists have identified 11 million "surge" voters—Democratic-leaning voters who don't regularly vote—in battleground states who will make the difference between winning and losing this November.

In the spring and summer, MoveOn will be laser-focused on educating these voters about the risks of a MAGA presidency and the personal freedoms that are at stake for all of us.

MoveOn will contact these voters through postcards, targeted ads, text messages, phone-banking, and more to tell them about the terrible policies that Trump plans to implement and we know those voters disagree with.

Then, as the election nears in the fall, we will kick our get-out-the-vote operation into high gear with our "vote tripling" program. Vote tripling is an evidence-based tactic grounded in relational organizing—the idea that people are much more likely to listen to their friends and social networks than anonymous ads and outreach. Relational organizing has been proven to be the absolute best way, by orders of magnitude, to not only inform people but turn them into likely voters who will show up on Election Day.7

In the 2020 and 2022 election cycles, MoveOn took relational organizing and super-powered it by providing an easy way to reach out to friends and family, talk to them about the issues they care about the most, and help them make a plan to get to the polls.

Not only did MoveOn's vote tripling result in 50,000 unlikely voters casting a ballot in 2020 in key states and districts, it's been proven to be five times more effective than other methods!

John, as a MoveOn member, you know that our very democracy is on the line this year. You know we must do everything possible to stop a MAGA takeover.

And you know that MoveOn was built for this work: For more than a quarter of a century, we've been the ones pounding the pavement and doing whatever is necessary to get voters to the polls. We will succeed in November—if you join the fight right now.

Please, will you help fund our election work by donating $9 today?

Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn's work? The MAGA movement's book bans have forced teachers and librarians across the country to remove books from their shelves and censor what young people can learn. MoveOn is fighting back, including by filling a "Banned Bookmobile" with books that the far right has banned and driving it to key cities and towns to raise the visibility of book bans, hand out banned books for free, and bring people together to stop censorship. To keep up the fight against book bans and the MAGA politicians who support them, we need your help.

Will you make a gift to power MoveOn's critical work?

Yes, I'll chip in.
