John, there’s just one week left until primary election day—and honestly, it feels kind of surreal. When I launched this campaign almost a year ago, I had no idea how far we’d come. Usually, folks don’t pay much attention to the Treasurer’s race, but together, we’ve built a real movement.
We’ve gotten the endorsements of nine members of Congress, 72 Democratic legislators, and more than 90 local elected officials.
We have the support of Planned Parenthood, the Young Democrats, virtually every major African-American political group in the state, and the political arms of the North Carolina Association of Educators and the State Employees Association of North Carolina.
We’ve raised more than $400,000 from more than 2,000 individual contributions—and the majority of them from right here in the Old North State. That’s pretty special, and it’s all thanks to you.
But there’s still a little further to go, and in this last week of the primary election, you may be wondering what’s left. By far, our biggest need in this last week is contacting voters to make sure they know that this campaign is by far the strongest campaign to flip this seat come November. And the best part is, it doesn’t even cost that much to make a difference.
