“But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him.” — Luke 10:33-34 (ESV) Dear John, Compassion is more than just a feeling. It is a movement to make things right. It calls to sacrifice our own time and resources to help those who often cannot help themselves. In so doing we exhibit the very heart of God toward humanity. When we were poor, wounded, and broken, Jesus came and served us. He paid the debt we could not pay to make us whole again. Together we can take this message to the world, not just in what we say, but especially in how we act. How will you serve someone in need today? Praises and Prayers
