Friend,
Today is Michigan’s Presidential Primary Election, and I want you to be prepared to cast your vote. It’s especially important to get out and vote this election because Michigan is an early nominating state which means Michiganders have a stronger voice in the outcome of the presidential primaries. Our great state reflects the diversity in this country and it’s up to us to show up to the polls and use our voice.
If you’re registered to vote at your current address you must vote at your polling place today! Find your polling place here [[link removed]] . Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you’re in line by 8 p.m., stay in line.
If you’re not registered to vote yet, you can register and cast an absentee ballot in person at your local clerk’s office [[link removed]] . Make sure you bring a “proof of residency” document, like a state I.D., paystub, or utility bill, with your name and address with you.
If you have an absentee ballot , make sure you return it as soon as possible. You can return it to your local clerk’s office or at a secure drop box. Find your city or township clerk’s office and your designated secure drop box here [[link removed]] .
If you have an absentee ballot and haven’t dropped off your ballot yet, do so ASAP at your clerk’s office or your designated secure drop box [[link removed]] . Your completed ballot must be received by your city or township clerk by 8 p.m. today.
Make sure you vote in this year's primary election to make your voice heard. The primary election is what sets each Michigander up for what will be on the ballot in the general election in November, so it’s critical to vote today.
Thank you for voting today,
– Debbie
