Cross city cycle route continues to take shape ??
Fisher Gate Cycle route

The new segregated cycle path is taking shape along Fisher Gate as work moves onto the Parliament Street junction to create a signalised crossing for cyclists and pedestrians outside Bio-City.

When complete the cross-city centre cycle route will connect the existing Eastern Cycle Corridor (along Daleside Road) with the Western Cycle Corridor (along Castle Boulevard).

* There have now been over 100,000 Lime e-bike rides in Nottingham since launching last April.
* Riders have cycled over 120,000 miles!

Improvements to Woodthorpe Grange Park ??

Woodthorpe Grange

Improvements are being made to Woodthorpe Grange Park using external funding. Work starts on Monday 4 March and will last for approximately 12 weeks.

A new path and entrance will be created which will benefit mobility scooter users, pedestrians and cyclists.

Latest on St Ann's Well Road cycle scheme

Thank you for your continued patience as work progresses on the new cycle path on St Ann's Well Road. Our team are making good progress and are working on sections 14/15 at the moment.

The new Active Travel England funded cycle path will be complete by June.

Ridewise Bike Maintenance Course for Nottingham adults begins 10 March

Nottingham City Residents - FREE, Beginners Bike Maintenance Workshops!

Adults 18+ only.

Learn the basics of servicing & fixing your own bike with an experienced bicycle mechanic!

This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners with little or no, cycle mechanic experience.

You bring your bike, and Ridewise will provide all the tools you need for the session.
If you don't have a bike, you may be able to work on someone else's.

Workshops will be running at various days/time/venues for the coming year so there's bound to be one suitable for you!

Supporting bus services in the city
the 50 bus is supported by BSIP funding

Nottingham City Council was awarded a Government grant as part of the Bus Service Improvement Fund – some of this funding is being used to support bus services that would otherwise run less frequently or not service certain areas. Buses supported include the 50 – which now has extended hours and days of operation, the 49 which connects Queens Drive Park & Ride with the Boots Enterprise Zone and the 70 which connects Bulwell with the city centre.
