Dear Friend,
We're proud to share that scientists are making real progress every day. You may have heard about the treatments that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that could meaningfully change the course of the disease for people living with early Alzheimer's. For people living with Alzheimer's and their families, every discovery like this offers new hope and gives people more time to participate in daily life, remain independent and make future health care decisions.
Today, the growing Alzheimer's drug development pipeline is robust. You help support this remarkable and urgently needed progress with every gift you give to the Alzheimer's Association. And, your generosity provides much-needed care and support services to those facing the disease today. By participating in our Double Your Impact Match Challenge, your first gift can make twice the impact.
For the more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer's and the over 11 million family members and friends who are providing their unpaid care, we won't rest until we reach our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
You can help make that vision a reality by participating in our Double Your Impact Match Challenge, thanks to a generous supporter who wishes to remain anonymous. They have pledged a $325,000 gift to the Alzheimer's Association to advance Alzheimer's research — but only if we can raise that same amount by April 1. Your donation to this matching gift challenge will support critical research and help provide care and support. Your support as a new donor is needed now to help unlock this match so that every dollar can increase our investment in research and broaden overall support to those living with the disease.
As the world's largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's and dementia research, we're currently funding independent researchers worldwide through our International Research Grant Program to advance our understanding of Alzheimer's disease, identify new treatment strategies, improve care for people living with dementia, and further our knowledge of brain health and disease prevention.
While the current FDA-approved treatments provide hope for some living with early Alzheimer's, these are not cures. And these treatments are not the answer for everyone. That's why we will not rest until everyone living with Alzheimer's or dementia of any kind — at any stage — can get the treatment and care and support they need and deserve. That's why your first gift to our Double Your Impact Match Challenge is so urgently needed today.

In shared commitment,
Michael Reich
Chief Marketing Officer
