The United Nations warned that 2.2 million people in Gaza are on the brink of famine.

It estimated that one in six children aged under two in Gaza are acutely malnourished — warning that the alarming lack of food, surging malnutrition, and disease could lead to an "explosion" in child deaths in Gaza.

People are growing desperate, turning to scavenged scraps of rotten corn, animal fodder unfit for human consumption, and even leaves.

Please, if you can spare any amount today, millions are counting on your generous gifts for access to basic essentials and life saving health care that have been forcefully denied. Will you make an emergency gift to deliver care in Gaza and wherever help is most needed? [[link removed]]

Nowhere is safe in Gaza right now. But thanks to gifts from donors like you, life saving care is being delivered to support women and girls amid the darkest of times.

UNFPA has supported more than half of the 21,000 childbirths since October 7th, deployed 50 community midwives to support even more childbirths in difficult conditions, delivered 7,000 Dignity Kits to ensure women and girls can manage their periods with dignity, and hundreds of Mama Kits have been delivered to new mothers.

At a time when aid is only trickling into Gaza, supporters like you have managed to make a material difference in the lives of many.

But only a fraction of what’s needed is being delivered, so we must ramp up our humanitarian efforts before it’s too late.

Will you make an emergency gift to deliver lifesaving care to women and girls living in crisis zones like Gaza? [[link removed]]

UNFPA deeply regrets the end of the humanitarian pause in Gaza. We condemn the violence in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank, including all sexual violence against women, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas.

Thank you for being there.
