This weekend, two of No Labels’ closest bipartisan allies in the House, Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick and Jared Golden, hit the airwaves to make the case for their Defending Borders, Defending Democracies Act.

They said it is absolutely urgent for Congress to act now to secure our border and get help to America’s allies in Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

Most Americans agree and so do most of the people’s representatives in Congress.

But only ONE MAN has the power to put legislation on the floor of the House for a vote: Speaker Mike Johnson. That’s why No Labels is launching a new ad to encourage Speaker Johnson to do the right thing and let Congress vote.

But we need your help to get the ad in front of as many people as possible. We want to put $1 million behind it and every dollar you give expands the reach of this ad. Will you kick in $3, $5, $10 or more today?

There are currently two different bipartisan proposals in Congress that would secure our border and get aid to our allies. The Senate recently passed a bill by a 70-29 margin. When Speaker Johnson said that bill couldn’t pass the House, Reps. Fitzpatrick and Golden sprung into action to create the more targeted Defending Borders, Defending Democracies Act.

America – and the world – will be watching to see what Speaker Johnson does in the coming days. Can we defend our borders and support our allies? Or will partisan inaction lead us to retreat inwards and fail to meet the moment?

There’s a deal to be done here, but to do that, Speaker Johnson needs to get it out of legislative limbo and make it open for discussion. He has the chance to do the right thing for America, and the heroic thing, by bringing the Fitzpatrick-Golden bill to the floor for a vote.
