John – ICYMI, we sent this email about how we're rising to the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please take a look!

Dear John,
First and foremost, we hope you and your loved ones are doing okay. Over the last few weeks, the world has been turned upside down, and every one of us has needed to adjust to life during a pandemic.
But, it is imperative for our work to continue. There is still an election in just over seven months, and we must elect leaders up and down the ballot who can rise to the challenges facing our country. Our team has been working around the clock to find ways to keep our community safe, prepare our candidates for uncertain times, and ensure that our volunteers have what they need to help elect strong leaders to key state legislatures in November.
To that end, we created our Virtual Organizing Hub ([link removed][UNIQID]) , a comprehensive resource for volunteers that includes recommendations, trainings, how-to guides, and other support to help volunteers adapt to grassroots organizing during social distancing.
We’ve been blown away by the incredible dedication and creativity of our volunteers, and several teams have already held successful virtual fundraisers and phonebank parties. We’ve synthesized many of these ideas into a few blog posts:
* Creative Organizing During Social Distancing ([link removed][UNIQID])
* Tips & Tricks for Making Virtual Parties More Fun ([link removed][UNIQID])
* Surprising Advantages of Virtual Parties ([link removed][UNIQID])
And in two short weeks, we’ll be announcing our first wave of 2020 endorsements. To be candid, our candidates face challenging circumstances.
Key components of campaigns, like canvassing and getting voters to the polls, will be harder to accomplish. Candidates may not have the ability to connect with their constituents at large events. This makes our work of generating early money, making phone calls, sending texts, and writing postcards more than just important―it is now mission critical.
These are hard and unprecedented times, which is why we must elect the right leaders to guide us out of this crisis. Sister District staff is committed, our candidates are resilient, and our volunteers are as dedicated and creative as ever.
Our tactics may be shifting, but we are keeping our eyes on the prize, and we feel confident about the impact we’ll make together this year. Please, join us!
Stay safe,
Rita, Gaby, Lala, and Lyzz
P.S. Our work is more important now than ever, and we’re doing everything we can to elect leaders we can trust in this time of crisis. If you’re able, please consider making a donation to keep our work going. ([link removed][UNIQID])
