John, after months of negotiations, Senate negotiators unveiled a $118 billion bipartisan draft bill to overhaul some key Biden administration immigration policies.

Unfortunately, the bill missed the mark.

“Immigration reform is an incredibly complex issue, but the Senate’s draft bill misses the mark by ignoring the most important part of the debate, which is establishing a common sense eventual pathway to citizenship for the millions of essential workers who have lived in America for years, pay their taxes, and contribute to the backbone of our economy.

“Perhaps if the bill’s negotiations had included representation of Latino senators, this critical issue would have been addressed. And it’s important for all sides to understand how closely Latinos are watching these negotiations. Nearly 16 million eligible American voters have a loved one who is an essential worker, so there is a lot of political will across the country to ensure they are protected.”

John, it's clear that immigration is going to be a key issue this election season — and it's up to us to make sure our communities aren't used as a political bargaining chip. That's why it's essential that we make our voices heard at the ballot box.

Will you donate now to help us register and mobilize young Latinos across the country so we can elect leaders who will fight for our communities this November? ([link removed])
