Folks,
The only other birthday I like more than mine is Tim Kaine’s.
That’s why I was so excited to deliver him his digital birthday card and one of my famous tuna sandwiches for his special day. Tim likes to call me “culinary-challenged” but we all know he really means “mayo aficionado.”
When you work closely with someone for so long like I have with Tim, you really get to know all of their little quirks – like not liking mayo. One of Senator Kaine’s, that used to drive me crazy, is his constant optimism. This maddening hopefulness of his that never seems to fade. But over the 40+ years of our friendship, I’ve learned to admire it. I’ve learned to understand that this optimism is exactly what we need in the Senate.
Because it doesn’t matter what roadblocks Tim faces along the way… nothing will deter him from serving the people of Virginia. Nothing will stop him from believing that he can continue changing people's lives. That kind of relentless optimism and dedication is what we need from our leaders in a Washington full of partisan division and political games.
So, while I ask you to split a $5 donation between my campaign and Tim’s, I want to remind you that his seat could very well decide control of the Senate next year. [link removed]

Your donation today not only helps send the most determined person I’ve ever met (frankly, it still is a little annoying) back to Congress, but it helps defend our Democratic Senate majority in a crucial election year.
Thank you again for signing Tim’s birthday card,
Mark Warner
