Salaam,
Emgage Action is proud to announce its support for the Listen to Michigan campaign in Michigan, echoing the voices of local leaders and communities in demanding a change in policy regarding Gaza. This campaign stands as a testament to the power of civic engagement and the importance of holding leadership accountable to the values of justice, peace, and human dignity.
The Listen to Michigan campaign, a grassroots effort supported by numerous community leaders and elected officials in Michigan, encourages the people of Michigan to vote 'uncommitted' in tomorrow's elections. Emgage Action underscores the critical role of Arab American and Muslim votes, asserting that elected officials must heed their call for a ceasefire, restore UNRWA funding, increase aid to Palestinians, and halt unconditional aid to Israel, lest they risk losing our communities' electoral support.
Our support for the Listen to Michigan campaign is a clear message that our communities are deeply invested in the pursuit of policies that honor our commitment to peace and humanity. Our voices matter, and we will ensure they are heard through actions that align with our principles.
