The Coalition’s STOP THE BLEED® Instructor Licensing Program is designed for EMS professionals seeking to teach STOP THE BLEED® to their communities or organizations.
There is no cost for individuals to become licensed and it only takes a few minutes to complete an online application.
Many EMS professionals are already engaged in the
STOP THE BLEED® campaign, using it to build resilience in their communities. The new program is designed to empower more EMS professionals to get involved by making it easier to apply for a license and to support approved instructors with all of the resources they need.

Trauma Coordinator and Registered Nurse
We see life-threatening bleeding firsthand in the trauma department. My goal is to educate the public about bleeding control to prevent death from life-threatening bleeding. I am about to teach my 200th Stop the Bleed course! I am also a military veteran and understand the importance of training. I have also provided stop the bleed kits and education to three school districts in Omaha.
Training is at the heart of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign and STOP THE BLEED® Instructors are the ones that make the heart beat! The Instructor Spotlight shines a bright light on individuals engaging their communities about STOP THE BLEED®.

The Coalition is a community of individuals and organizations who are passionate about the STOP THE BLEED® campaign. The Coalition’s goal is to support the growth and impact of the campaign by providing access to information and services to the growing STOP THE BLEED® community as well as financial support to the STOP THE BLEED® Project.
STOP THE BLEED® is a national campaign to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. It is a public/private partnership led by the Department of Defense and many other stakeholders, including the Stop the Bleed Coalition.
