It’s the home stretch of February! I hope you’ve gotten to hang with us and take advantage of all the opportunities there have been this month to learn about the rich Black History of Arlington. But we’re not done just yet! There’s still our General Body Meeting before we close out the month, and great opportunities to support and meet your fellow Dems in the month to come!
AYD’s Civil and Economic Rights Forum is upon us! Tuesday, February 27th at the Shirlington Library starting at 6:30 PM. you’ll hear from Delegate Adele McClure, Scott Taylor, PhD (President of the Black Heritage Museum of Arlington), and Professor Aderson B. Francois (Georgetown Law) discussing the economic legacy of the Civil Rights movement. You don’t want to miss it!

Our 2024 theme -- "Democracy is on the Ballot" -- emphasizes the critical importance of this year's presidential election in ensuring the integrity of our political system now and for years to come. Join us to hear from inspiring Democratic leaders, connect with old friends, and make new ones. We will also honor our Volunteers of the Year and renew our commitment to making Arlington and Virginia a more just and prosperous place for all.
