As we near the end of Black History Month, it's crucial to reflect on the importance of fostering a supportive environment for Black LGBTQ+ young people throughout the entire year. Their experiences, struggles, and triumphs deserve recognition and support.

"A Mother's Journey: Navigating Stigma": Join us as we explore the story of Karen Kennedy (she/her), a valued member of The Trevor Project team, where she shares her experiences as a Black mother raising an LGBTQ+ child.

Karen's story offers invaluable insights into navigating mental health stigmas amongst the Black community. As advocates and allies, it's important for us to uplift Black LGBTQ+ young people and their support systems, ensuring they feel seen and valued. Karen emphasizes, “By fighting against stigma, we can foster a supportive and fair environment for mental health in BIPOC communities,” echoing her message of empowerment and understanding.
