Hi
John,
What can we say? We know that on both practical and emotional levels, COVID-19 is upending our lives.
But some things haven’t changed. And our work at Breast Cancer Action is as necessary and important as ever.
As a rapid response watchdog, we’ll be responding to new threats and opportunities and we look forward to updating you about our work in the coming weeks. And we want to share some updates from Breast Cancer Action with you now.
Check out the latest issue of The Source ([link removed]) .
The corona virus and its rapid spread across the planet represent a wake-up call, as our Executive Director points out in the latest issue of The Source ([link removed]) : “From the cancer crisis, to the climate crisis, to COVID-19, we cannot continue business as usual. The global pause in response to this pandemic gives us all the opportunity to hit reset, and come together to rebuild a more just and healthy world.”
Along with Karuna’s article, this issue of The Source ([link removed]) includes ways you can take action to support lower pharmaceutical drug prices and pass the Lymphedema Treatment Act, dispatches from the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (including an incident of bad behavior by a conference attendee), information on how you can support stronger PFAS regulation, updates on our work to protect public health from the devastating impact of the oil and gas industry, and more. Because breast cancer doesn’t stop for pandemics.
We hope you’ll enjoy the latest issue of The Source ([link removed]) .
Please drop a quick note and let us know how you’re doing, and stay safe!
The Breast Cancer Action Team
