John: Equal opportunity to participate in our democracy and to vote is fundamental to its health and integrity. Our government must listen to the voices of its people rather than be dominated by the wealthy and corporate elites.
Congress must act decisively to safeguard our freedom to vote.
This means endorsing the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act – two pieces of critical legislation aimed at rejuvenating and updating the protections offered by the original Voting Rights Act.
These laws propose establishing nationwide voting standards to improve ballot access, eliminate both partisan and race-based redistricting, shield elections from external influences, and enhance campaign finance transparency to deter the influence of undisclosed donations, among other measures.

The FTVA and John Lewis VRAA would ensure that every eligible voter, no matter their background or residence — from Latino neighborhoods in Texas to Native American tribes in Arizona to African American communities in Alabama – can freely access the voting booth and are safeguarded from legislative actions that seek to undermine democracy.
Congress has a duty to uphold the freedom to vote by passing these bills, thereby reinforcing and expanding the Voting Rights Act's protections.
Congress must restore the Voting Rights Act and our freedom to vote by passing the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
Your support is crucial to our efforts. Will you donate today to help us protect voting rights? [[link removed]]
