Important reminder: Today is the last chance to post your NUI Seanad Election ballot
Events in Oireachtas yesterday serve as reminder why we need good pro-life politicians elected
Dear Friend,
If you or a family member is registered to vote in the Seanad Election on the NUI panel, ballots need to be posted immediately if your vote is to count.
Posted ballots must arrive at the NUI office in Merrion Square, Dublin, no later than 11 a.m. on Tuesday 31st March.
The Pro Life Campaign never endorses individual candidates or parties in elections but we have no problem pointing out that Senator Rónán Mullen is the only candidate on the NUI panel who has publicly declared his support for the pro-life position. He also has a long and distinguished track record in publicly defending the right to life from conception to natural death.
Events in the Oireachtas yesterday where some TDs used the COVID-19 crisis to push for even wider access to abortion serves as a stark reminder for why we need pro-life politicians elected.
We are not aware of any other candidates on the NUI or Trinity Seanad panels with a record of publicly speaking up for the right to life. It is nice to report however that there are several candidates running on the Seanad Vocational Panels who have publicly declared as pro-life. As you know, County Councillors and members of the Oireachtas (and not members of the public) elect candidates from these panels to serve in the Seanad.
Thank you for you continued support and take care at this difficult time.
