Control: You may know about Tesla, but did you hear about the Chinese BYD Company? It recently overtook Tesla as the world’s top electric vehicle (EV) maker, and letting its cars into the U.S. poses significant risks. 

• “Allowing Chinese EV imports poses major national security threats, as well as giving the CCP control over the U.S. economy,” writes Diana Furchtgott-Roth, director of Heritage’s Center for Energy, Climate, and Environment.

Regulations: The Biden administration wants to mandate that all new cars come equipped with technology to disable the vehicle if it thinks the driver is “impaired.” This poses huge privacy risks, not to mention costs and hassles, as detailed by The Daily Signal.
