Dear Friend,
Every one of us is at risk for Alzheimer's disease. But that
doesn't mean the risks are equal. Did you know that older Black
Americans are twice as likely as older White Americans to be living
with Alzheimer's or another dementia? Or that there are more
misdiagnoses of Alzheimer's among Black Americans and other
underrepresented groups?
Just as we are all at risk, we can all do our part to help
provide care and support, as we accelerate research toward methods of
treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure - and we can do it
now with your help.

Throughout February, we have been honoring Black History
Month. At the Alzheimer's Association, we're committed to equity and
access to care and support, this month and every month.
We believe that all communities deserve a fair and just
opportunity for early diagnosis and access to risk reduction and
quality care. That's why we work every day to engage underrepresented
and underserved communities and respond with resources and education
to address the disproportionate impact of Alzheimer's and all other
dementia.
Achieving the goal of a more equitable future for everyone
will take a commitment from all of us. By taking part in our Double
Your Impact Match Challenge, you can play a pivotal role in these
efforts while advancing research and helping to provide care and
support.
