John,
Good afternoon, and welcome to our Weekend Update.
I want to begin by congratulating President Donald J. Trump on his massive win in South Carolina. This victory must end this Primary Election once and for all. His opponent lost in her home state resoundingly.
I don't view this as an indictment on Nicki Haley. This win represents the overwhelming majority of Republican voters enthusiastically voicing their support for President Trump. America is committed to rallying behind his campaign to win in November. This election is too critical for personal agendas or egos… we must all get behind President Trump, defeat Joe Biden, and start putting America First again.
This week, we learned more about how Hunter and Jim Biden made millions of dollars from domestic and foreign entities while perpetrating an influence-peddling scheme. The facts show they then used companies they owned as pass-throughs to funnel money to Joe Biden. The Oversight and Judiciary Committees have exposed $240K in checks to Joe Biden, claiming to be “loan repayments” from Jim. However, the IRS mandates that any loan between family members be made with a signed written agreement, a fixed repayment schedule, and a minimum interest rate charged. Yet Joe Biden has failed to produce this documentation for the supposed loans. Without evidence of such loans being made, the Bidens violated tax law or committed even more significant crimes. I joined "Wake Up America" on Newsmax to discuss this issue further. Click here <[link removed]> or below to watch.

A great article from Wall Street Journal’s Editorial Board laid out Tony Bobulinski’s testimony about how “Joe & Co” sold influence. Click here <[link removed]> to read. Mr. Bobulinski says another dispute concerned a sudden demand for James Biden, Joe’s brother, to get a stake. Mr. Gilliar explained in a text message that this was necessary because “H could be unreliable, so I pushed another family member.” Mr. Bobulinski says he once asked James Biden about the potential political implications of the deal: “Aren’t you guys concerned that if Joe does run for President of the United States in the future that you guys are doing business directly with the Chinese?” He says James Biden laughed and responded: “Plausible deniability.”
This type of corruption must be removed from Washington, D.C. We can start this process by finally retiring the Biden family from the White House and dealing a massive blow to the Biden family business by killing "the Brand."
From bank and phone records to documented meetings, photographs, White House visitor logs, and more, a mountain of evidence shows Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s shady business dealings. We know the Biden family received tens of millions of dollars from foreign entities, and the American people deserve to know if the President is compromised. The House Oversight and Judiciary Committees continue to uncover more and more evidence with every stone they turn over. I joined our good friend R.J. Harris on WHP-580 to discuss this. The Biden Administration's continued war on coal and devastating energy policies hinder America's energy independence and dominance. The Congressional Coal Caucus applauds the Ninth Circuit for its ruling ending the injunction on all federal coal leases in the U.S. Click here <[link removed]> or below to read more.

The SEC’s rollback of Scope 3 emissions in its climate rule underscores that the entire rule misses the mark. Even the SEC doubts its own approach, and it should scrap the flawed rule in its entirety. Focus on investor protection and capital formation, not ideology. IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: Bidenomics is hurting all Americans, and no amount of spin from the White House can change the facts.
THE MIDDLE CLASS ISN’T FOOLED BY “BIDENOMICS”
- While the Biden administration tries to discount inflation and shift blame, Americans know that Biden’s radical tax-and-spend agenda <[link removed]> is responsible for the pain they feel in their pocketbooks.
- In a Harris poll, 57 percent <[link removed]> of middle-class respondents said higher borrowing costs were having a negative impact on their household finances.
- By the same poll, 44 percent <[link removed]> of middle-class Americans are stressed about the economy, and 61 percent said their personal financial situation was worse or unchanged from a year ago.
- According to a poll from ABC News, only 13 percent <[link removed]> of Americans say they’ve gotten better off financially since Biden took office.
- A survey by Monmouth University found that just 16 percent <[link removed]> of middle-class families say they have benefited “a lot” under Biden, compared to 41 percent of wealthy families.
- A Bankrate survey <[link removed]> found that a majority of Americans can’t afford a $1,000 emergency.
- A CNN poll found that a majority of Americans <[link removed]> believe Biden’s policies have worsened economic conditions in the country.

Biden isn't fooling anyone, no matter how much spin his administration puts out. The facts speak for themself. Elections are meant to judge a candidate on their record and accomplishments. By every objective measure and statistic, Joe Biden has failed. American voters will hold him accountable in November, and we will re-elect President Trump.
For the first time in more than 50 years, an American spacecraft has landed on the Moon. Congratulations to everyone involved in the launch, especially my good friend Omar de Frias, a former NASA employee and founder and CEO of Fratello Cigars. Omar is a great man and a true entrepreneur. His company’s logo was on the spacecraft, forever memorializing his great work and entrepreneurial spirit. Fratello Cigars are out of this world… over the Moon.
As the son of a former police officer, I understand the great sacrifices the brave men and women of law enforcement make to protect and serve our communities. That’s why I was happy to attend the Troopers Lodge Dinner and Legislative Reception hosted by the Philip Melley Memorial Lodge in Schuylkill County. I appreciated the opportunity to meet with the dedicated Pennsylvania Troopers who serve our region and discuss my work in Congress to #BackTheBlue. Among several other legislative initiatives I cosponsor to support law enforcement, I recently introduced the Gold Shield Families Resolution to officially recognize the service and sacrifice of the families of fallen first responders. We owe our law enforcement personnel a debt of gratitude for all they do to keep us safe. Thank you to Lodge President Mark Knock and Membership Secretary Richard Freed for the invitation. I also greatly appreciate their presentation of an honorary membership. (See below)
On Thursday, many great Southeast Pennsylvania leaders came together to support my campaign, where we discussed all the crises facing our nation and what is needed to get it back on track. Thank you to all who attended.
On Saturday morning, I was happy to be a guest speaker for the Lehigh County Lincoln Day breakfast at DeSales University. It was a well-attended breakfast with leaders from the county and state.
After Lehigh County, I traveled to Wyoming County for their Lincoln Day in Tunkhannock at the one and only Triton Hose Co.
Next, I hopped on the bus with GOP U.S. Senate candidate Dave McCormick, and we made our way to Williamsport High School, home of the Williamsport Millionaires, where Dave was inducted into the PIAA District 4 Wrestling Hall of Fame.
I then made my way to the historic Genetti Hotel in Williamsport for the Lycoming County Lincoln Day dinner. Thank you to Chairman Don Peters and the Lycoming County Republican Committee for a great event.
To finish up the evening on Saturday, I was invited by entrepreneur Anthony Mussare to see his new cigar club in downtown Williamsport. State Rep. David Rowe, City Councilman Vince Pulizzi, Anthony Mussare, his fiancé Amber, and State Rep Jamie Flick joined us. This was an incredible place. When they officially open their doors to the public, I would encourage cigar lovers to check it out.
Last but not least, a week ago, I attended the Bradford County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner. It was a great event, and I want to thank our friends Commissioner Doug McLInko and Eric Matthews for their support. The bunny was a door prize I won. I normally give back such winnings, but I had to keep the pink bunny. In fact, Commissioner McLinko was fighting me for it!
We look forward to catching up with you next week. God Bless, and see you soon,
Dan Meuser
