Still working, still fighting

These are unprecedented times but we wanted to let you know that, as the CNP team follows government advice to stay at home, we continue to fight for the future of National Parks.

We are currently focussed on pressing government to implement the Landscapes Review and have brought together a number of organisations to this effect. We have just recently been invited to meetings with Defra to discuss the matter.

Astonishing pictures highlight fragility of nature

We have good news. We are pleased we can share the winners of the 2020 National Parks photography competition. Around 1,700 pictures were submitted under the theme ‘Inspired by Nature’.

An astonishing shot of a hunting osprey in the Cairngorms National Park took the top prize. Other shortlisted images include an incredible shot of Storm Dennis in the Peak District and a bejewelled dragonfly in the North York Moors. Click here to see the amazing shortlist

National Parks under COVID pressure

Over the last few weeks the National Parks have come under significant pressure as people seek solace in these beautiful places. However we would encourage everyone to follow the Government advice and advice issues by National Park Authorities.

Overcrowding when excising outside, even in the National Parks, can put people at risk.
