[link removed] [[link removed]] I know that when it comes to what makes headlines, chaos and dysfunction will always get more airtime than quiet, steady leadership. (And don’t get me wrong — there’s been a LOT of chaos and dysfunction recently.)
But I’m not running for re-election just on opposing the House majority’s extremist agenda. I’m running proudly on my record of getting things done despite the odds.
If you already know you’re with me, I’d be so grateful if you could pitch in a few dollars to support my work, because we have a major fundraising deadline coming up in just a few days. But if you’d like to know more about my record and the progress I’ve helped deliver for Kansas families, please keep reading!

Just since the start of this month, I voted for a bipartisan set of tax cuts for middle-class families — including a major expansion of the Child Tax Credit, which will benefit nearly 150,000 children in Kansas — and I also helped deliver grants to two local airports in our district that will improve safety and create good-paying jobs.
Those grants are just another example of all the progress for Kansas that was made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law I was proud to help pass. In fact, that law has enabled Kansas to kick-start construction on 258 vital projects across our state.
This is why it’s so important to have leaders who are grown-up enough to put partisanship aside and get things done. Here are just a few of the other tangible results we’ve been able to achieve by working together:
* Kansans on Medicare are saving $620 a year on their insulin.
* Kansas City was named a regional technology and innovation hub to boost domestic manufacturing.
* At least 20,000 clean energy jobs were created here in the 3rd District (the most in the country).
* 5 million veterans have been screened for toxic exposures nationally.
* We’ve brought in millions of dollars for rural communities here in Kansas to expand broadband access, plug hazardous abandoned oil wells, fix aging roads and bridges, eliminate dangerous unmarked rail crossings, and bring clean water to every Kansas home.
Let’s be clear: there’s still so much work left to be done. We all agree we need action to lower the cost of housing and everyday expenses like groceries. We need to ensure that every farmer, rancher, and producer here in Kansas has the tools to succeed. And we need to stand firm in our fight to protect our democracy and defend the right to choose.
That’s why I will always choose the path of getting things done and making a difference in people’s lives — because the issues we’re facing are too important to get sidetracked by extremism, division, or empty promises.
If that’s the kind of leadership you’d like to see more of in Congress, then I hope you will consider supporting my campaign today. There’s a lot more we need to get done for Kansas and for our nation, and winning this extremely competitive race — and continuing to make progress — is going to take every single one of us.
