In four days, our grassroots campaign faces our next end-of-month fundraising deadline, and my team tells me we’re still about $3,296 away from our goal.
In a moment, I’m going to ask if you can pitch in any amount to help us get there, but before I do, I hope you’ll let me explain why your contribution matters.
My job as your attorney general is to fight for the rights and well-being of every Californian. Unfortunately, there are a lot of attacks being waged against consumers, vulnerable communities, our environment, and some of our most basic rights.
Right-wing extremists continue to chisel away at reproductive rights with dangerous abortion bans and restrictions across the country, including the recent court case out of Alabama that purports embryos to be children, now putting IVF treatment and contraception at risk.
Big polluters are pumping greenhouse gasses into our atmosphere, fueling climate change and its devastating impacts like wildfires and flooding, while contaminating our waterways and ecosystems.
Transgender and gender nonconforming students are being put in danger and even attacked in schools of states with bigoted bathroom laws and other anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.
These are troubling times, but know that as your Attorney General, I’m actively working to stop these attacks and more. It’s a busy job, which is why I don’t always have much time left to fundraise and make sure our campaign has the financial resources it needs. That’s where this grassroots movement comes in!
We are a people-powered campaign moving California toward progress and justice for all, and we need to stay prepared for any and all fights that come our way. With our February deadline rapidly approaching on Thursday, can you pitch in $5 right now to help us hit our goal and stay on track?
We will rise together, or not at all. Thank you for fighting alongside me.
