It was revealed recently that the centerpiece of the GOP’s impeachment inquiry into President Biden is nothing more than Russian disinformation. The supposed “bombshell” coming from star witness Alexander Smirnov turned out to be a giant lie—and Smirnov a tool of Russian intelligence.

Every single one of the Republicans who pushed this divisive lie is complicit in spreading Russian disinformation designed to interfere in our elections by smearing Joe Biden and promoting Donald Trump. 

Troy Balderson eagerly repeated these lies and consistently supported Jim Jordan for Speaker of the House. Jordan unabashedly and aggressively spread Smirnov’s baseless accusations, and he has abused his power as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee. People like Balderson who participated in his illicit disinformation campaign must be defeated this election.
