,
Everyone in Washington, D.C. knows
warrantless mass surveillance is unpopular among Americans,
despite the Deep State's best efforts to intimidate us with
threats of bogeymen.
That's why they're so afraid of a clean vote
on the House floor to end warrantless mass surveillance under 702
of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
And that's why House Republican leadership -
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Majority Leader Steve Scalise
(R-LA), and Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) - are looking to sneak
a long-term 702 extension into a "must-pass" budget bill next
week.
They may even try to expand it!
Campaign for Liberty Executive Director, John
McCardell, will be delivering your directives on paper, in person
to each of the aforementioned House leaders this week to let them
know we will not tolerate a continuation of this assault on our
privacy and civil rights.
According to my records, you haven't yet
signed your directive. Please be sure to sign it right away, so
your voice will be heard by House leadership!

We need to make certain John delivers an
absolutely massive stack of petitions to them next week, so sign
your directive right now.

---------------FWD MESSAGE---------------
,
It's time to take on the Spy State again!
Congress comes back from their vacation next
week - their second long break in less than two months - and
they'll have TWO DAYS to pass yet another spending bill to avoid
a government shutdown.
And the potential expiration of the Deep
State's warrantless mass surveillance program, Section 702 of the
Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, is creeping closer and
closer.
But it gets clearer by the day - Speaker Mike
Johnson isn't going to let Section 702 die.
But Mike Johnson has a problem.
Members of the House Rules Committee of both
parties - which controls how bills are brought to the House floor
- don't want to renew the program without major reforms.
That's why sources are saying Speaker Johnson
is going to circumvent the legislative process and slip another
702 extension into one of the upcoming "must-pass" budget bills
and go around the Rules Committee to avoid any opposition.
In fact, news reports are quoting two Capitol
Hill sources saying just that.
Johnson will take the easy way out and slip
in this mass-government spying extension into a spending bill
many representatives will be afraid to vote against.

That's why it's crucial you send a directive
to Speaker Johnson, Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA), and
Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) demanding they stop playing games
and have a clean vote on the House floor to END warrantless mass
surveillance.

We know the Surveillance State shills are
getting desperate.
Just last week, the phones in D.C. were
ringing off the hook as good people like you took action and
demanded the restoration of your Fourth Amendment rights.
So the Deep State trotted out an unspecified
"national security emergency" to derail attempts to end
warrantless surveillance of Americans in the middle of a House
Rules Committee hearing.
It was a transparent attempt to frighten the
American people into accepting escalating government intrusions
into our lives.
When they return from their vacation next
week, I will personally deliver your directives, printed out, to
the Republican Majority Leadership: House Speaker Mike Johnson,
Majority Leader Steve Scalise, and Majority Whip Tom Emmer.
I hope to put a very large stack of
directives on each of their desks, so please help us deliver a
powerful message by signing yours right now.
We stopped the Deep State just last week.
You and I can do it again!
Remember - Section 702 was not only used to
spy on the private records of law-abiding Americans MILLIONS of
times. . .
It was used to vilify ordinary American
political activists, including grassroots advocates and concerned
parents getting involved with their school boards.
And it was used to sabotage the Trump
administration before it even took office.
If Johnson, Scalise, and Emmer don't hear
from you and me now, they will simply slip a renewal of 702 into
a must pass spending bill . . . or worse, they might even pass
the House Intelligence Committee's atrocious bill to EXPAND the
Deep State's surveillance power.
Unless you and I DEMAND Congress END Section
702 abuses, the Deep State's unconstitutional spying program will
be on-line right through Election Day and beyond - so sign your
directive for me to deliver right away.

And after you send your message, please chip
in a contribution to help keep Campaign for Liberty fighting for
your freedom and privacy from the Surveillance State.

P.S. The U.S. "intelligence" community, and especially the FBI,
illegally rummaged through millions upon millions of phone calls,
emails, and text messages of innocent Americans without a
warrant.
You and I have known this for years despite the lies of James
Clapper, Christopher Wray, and dozens and dozens of other
"intelligence" officials.
We must DEMAND our lawmakers restore our constitutional privacy
protections and STOP the 702 abuses before it gets renewed or
even expanded.
That's why I'm counting on you to please sign your STOP THE
SURVEILLANCE STATE directive, so I can deliver it to Republican
leadership personally.
