Latest Support from Nottingham City Council
*UPDATED 27 March 2020*
Business Rates and Grants - GO TO WEB PAGE [ [link removed] ]
If you think you are eligible for the cash grants (10,000 or 25,000) you do not need to do anything. We will write to you if you are eligible for this grant once details have been provided to us by the Government.
Regarding Business Rates holidays - there is no action for you. If you are eligible, we will issue a revised council tax bill in April to confirm there are no business rates to pay in 2020/21.
Bills have already been issued for 2020/21 but for those businesses affected by the changes above of which the City Council will implement, your bills will be reissued during April 2020 and we advise that*no payments should be made in April 2020.**Direct Debits due throughout April for 2020/21 bills will not be called.*
For those that are not affected by the below or will be claiming directly from central government please continue under current payment arrangements.

Support for Self-Employed People
On Thursday 26 March, the Chancellor announced support for people who are self-employed individuals whose income has been negatively affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.The scheme will provide a grant to self-employed individuals or partnerships, worth 80% of their profits up to a cap of 2,500 per month.

In partnership with the local Department for Works & Pensions (DWP) Job Centres, we can offer you one-to-one support over the phone or by email. Nottingham City Council are urgently recruiting for Care Workers
Nottingham City Council Urgently need Care Workers
The new roles will be on casual assignment basis paid at 9.94/hour plus casual enhancement of 12.04%.
These roles involve personal care, as well as getting people in and out of bed, cooking light meals, medication checks, etc.
You*dont need*previous experience and*we will pay for a DBS check if you need one*.
Applicants will be assigned work within a 1 mile radius of their postcode, therefore they will be accessible on foot with no need to use public transport. Applications from drivers are also encouraged.

Innovation COVID 19 Challenge Funding Opportunity
NHSX have launched a challenge fund to find solutions to support the most vulnerable: they are seeking innovative ideas of ways in which the elderly, vulnerable and those self-isolating during COVID19 can be supported. Government funding is available to support this, further details *are available here [ [link removed] ]*.

We believe new technologies can help support the vulnerable, elderly and self-isolating as COVID-19 continues to spread. Within this challenge, we are particularly looking for innovators able to support in the following areas. If this is your company, apply.
