ANNE FRANK REVISITED: THE FRIEND, THE DIARY, THE CHALLENGES FOR TEACHERS

presented by

We invite you to join a webinar presented by TOLI: The Olga Lengyel Institute for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights.

This special program features Dina Kraft, co-author of the NY Times bestselling book, My Friend Anne Frank: The Inspiring and Heartbreaking Story of Best Friends Torn Apart and Reunited Against All Odds. The narrative is by the late Hannah Pick-Goslar, who tells the story of her special friendship with Anne, including their shared childhood experiences of innocence; the trauma of Nazi persecution in Holland; and of their last, tragic encounter, starving and near death at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. The book provides a new perspective on the most recognizable victim of the Holocaust, and a searing look at what countless children endured at the hands of the Nazis.

The program will include a discussion on teaching Anne Frank’s diary today and the challenges for educators in navigating contemporary Holocaust education in the current environment.
