Hi John,
Even though it’s the weekend, my eyes are still glued to ActBlue. That’s because it’s the end of the month, and we have to count up every last dollar to make sure we stay on track.
As Roy’s finance director, it’s my job to hit our fundraising goals each month. February’s target is $40,000, and when I checked the numbers this morning, we were still about $8,000 short.
Before I take this update to Roy tomorrow: Could you pitch in any amount that’s right for you to get us a little closer to our goal?
John, since we keep asking you to donate, you deserve to know just where your dollar is going. We’re devoting significant resources right now to supporting Democratic candidates in competitive legislative elections. As we all know, Republicans hold a supermajority in Raleigh and are willing to use it to advance their radical agenda.
Breaking the supermajority will require investment in Democrats in every district — not just districts we’re confident we’ll win. We need to compete everywhere.
North Carolina is a deep purple, competitive state. We can win here if we work together.
So please, lend me and Roy a hand by pitching in to support our work before our end-of-month deadline on Thursday. Anything you can give would go a long way.
