The election’s in June, but campaigning is in full swing, and the Republican Trump supporters behind AIPAC are planning to spend millions of dollars over the next few months to defeat Jamaal.

When visiting my grandmother in the West Bank, he saw first-hand how Palestinians live in fear under constant military presence. And he connected that to his own experience as a Black man in the U.S. who’s been targeted by police violence.

Jamaal and I know that the struggles for justice and equality are interconnected, from the U.S. to Palestine and beyond.
