I will keep this short because it’s a Saturday.

I remain so disappointed and shocked by House Republicans’ continued path of chaos and dysfunction.

Not only did they waste taxpayer dollars and precious time impeaching Sec. Mayorkas, the first time a cabinet secretary has been impeached in nearly 150 years, but they did so while cutting other legislative work short and sending members home early. All this happened while the government has not been funded and we are days away from the threat of a shutdown.

They continue to put partisan policies first and kick the ball down the road when it comes to the work that we were sent to Washington to do – legislate to support our children, invest in good-paying jobs, and help American families make ends meet.

This is why we need to flip the House in November. Our country cannot face another two years of dysfunction, inaction,and an inability to govern.

My re-election campaign has become one of the most closely watched in the nation because flipping the House blue means keeping swing districts like CT-05 in the hands of Democrats like me.
