Biden's Anti-American Energy Agenda Benefits Our Adversaries
Recently, President Biden announced that he is effectively banning new natural gas export projects — including projects here in Louisiana. Many are wondering why President Biden would choose to shut down projects here at home when we make energy cleaner, more efficient, and at a dramatically lower cost than anywhere else in the world.
The public is fed up with this kind of reckless policy. I penned an op-ed in the Advocate to share how President Biden’s decision to halt liquefied natural gas (LNG) export projects only further weakens our economic and national security. I also spoke on the House floor in support of the Unlocking Our Domestic LNG Potential Act of 2024, to immediately undo this harmful de facto ban on American LNG exports, and was pleased to see it pass the House last week.
