I recently introduced the Fight Book Bans Act, a direct attack against DeSantis’ censorship in schools. It’ll give school districts the funding to fight back when extremists like DeSantis try to ban books, control libraries, or otherwise mess with our students’ educations.

Because let’s be clear: Book bans aren’t just about the books. They’re an assault against our freedom. They hide necessary truths. But with this bill, we’re making sure Black, brown, Hispanic, and LGBTQ+ stories get told.
