Tragedy struck Dayton, OH and El Paso, TX last weekend where a total of 32 people were murdered in attacks by gunmen. In El Paso, 22 people were killed and at least 24 were wounded by a 21-year-old man. Less than 24 hours later in Datyon, OH, ten, including the 24-year-old shooter, were killed and 27 were wounded. Our hearts are heavy and they go out to the families of the victims of this tragedy.
During a time of mourning, the Left, as always, used the tragedies as an opportunity to demand gun control and blamed President Trump for the horrific violence that took place over the weekend. The El Paso shooter allegedly wrote a manifesto ahead of the shootings that expressed thoughts of white nationalism, racism, doomsday climate change environmentalism, and anti-corporation rants. Never missing an opportunity to demonize the President, Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) are trying hard to equate the desire for a secure border and immigration enforcement with white nationalism and mass murder. One MSNBC contributor Nicole Wallace disgustingly smeared President Trump, saying he had called for the “extermination of Latinos” in America. She has since sort of apologized, but that gives you a good example of the hate and viciousness coming from the left right now.
In the wake of the tragedies, President Trump denounced white supremacy and racism, as he always has, but the mainstream media even labeled his denunciations as racist. While President Trump spoke out against hatred and paid his respects to the victims’ families, the Left still responded with vitriol—because, “Orange Man Bad.”
Meanwhile, the Dayton, OH shooter was an avowed, self-proclaimed socialist who supported Antifa, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren, but the media – and Democrats – have nothing to say about this.
As for Tea Party Patriots Action, we believe that innocent people shouldn’t be blamed for the crimes of others, and that the left’s exploitation of tragedies and accusations of responsibility toward political opponents is wicked and wrong.
Jenny Beth Martin called out the Left’s hypocrisy on Twitter:
Their animosity towards President Trump knows no bounds and their hatred blinds them from seeing what their own rhetoric is doing to an already-divided nation. We hope the El Paso and the Dayton communities heal, and we also pray the nation can heal.

Remember when Tea Party Patriots and other tea party groups were victims of unwarranted and illegal targeting by the IRS? It is obvious that the Left is determined to once again target conservatives for simply getting involved in the political process in an effort to suppress our activity.
This time, Texas Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro tweeted out a list of voters in his district who donated to President Trump’s campaign in an effort to shame them. He accused the private citizens on the list of “contributing to harmful rhetoric that targets the Hispanic community and so many others,” and of supporting white supremacism. While the names and employers of campaign donors are publicly available in Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings, Castro posted a list of donors on social media, using the platform afforded to a member of Congress, knowing that it could likely bring harassment and possible danger to these private citizens. It was a despicable action committed by a despicable person, who obviously believes the ends justify the means, no matter who gets hurt. A little advice to Castro: It didn’t work out well for the IRS.
You know what drives us crazy? Twitter silencing the nonviolent while the violent run rampant. While Mitch McConnell was recovering from a broken shoulder, far-left extremists protested in front of his home. In a video of the protest, one extremist went as far to say, “Just stab the mother f***er in the heart, please." Daily Wire reporter Ryan Saavedra wrote the story up and posted it to Twitter, where Twitter promptly told him to remove the tweets demonstrating the inherent violence on the left. It shouldn’t come as a shock that Twitter chose a side, and that side was radical leftism.
Twitter attempts to censor a reporter for “reporting the news,” but doesn’t censor Joaquin Castro for targeting conservative donors. Clearly, we’re all sick of Twitter’s blatant conservative bias. Both chambers passed a measure that would add $320 billion to our national debt and would suspend the $22 trillion national debt ceiling. Not only are conservative lawmakers in Congress outraged, but a majority of Americans are as well.... Once again, Democrats are trying to revive talks on impeaching President Trump. After the Mueller testimony a few weeks ago ended up being predictably anti-climactic, the Democrats remain unsatisfied with the results.... Everyone has the right to donate to whichever cause, candidate or organization they want to without being subjected to harassment. For that exact reason, tea party groups won a lawsuit last year against the IRS for illegal and unwarranted targeting of conservative donors.... Don’t look now, but impeachment is about to become a thing. Since former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony on July 24, 23 Democratic members of the House have added their names to the list of those supporting the opening of an impeachment inquiry....
