Did you hear what happened?

Alabama's Republican-dominated Supreme Court ruled this week that embryos at any stage are legally considered children. But, this ruling is based on a law written 152 years ago in 1872.

This is a direct result of Trump packing the court during his presidency. No state-level court would have even been this audacious had the U.S. Supreme Court not overturned Roe v. Wade.

We are fighting against extremism across the country and we need your help to do it. Our grassroots movement relies on your support to fight for reproductive rights. If you are committed to protecting abortion rights across the country and in your community, then chip in $11 and join our movement today. [[link removed]]

This is what mainstream Republicanism looks like today: far-right extremism that seeks to control women's bodies regardless of the consequences.

And there are many consequences.

In the days since this ruling, the University of Alabama at Birmingham health system, which has the largest hospital in Alabama, announced it will cease all in vitro fertilization treatments. For some families, IVF is the only way they can have children. But because of this ruling, hundreds of families may never get that opportunity.

The university health system cited this ruling as the reason behind ending their IVF services and expressed their concern that their patients and doctors could be criminally prosecuted for following the normal standard of care for IVF treatments.

Reproductive rights are not just under threat, in some states, we're seeing their end.

We need to end these extremist policies and protect our freedoms, so One Country Fund is fighting to send extremist politicians packing in November, but we can only get this done if you join us. Can we count on you? [[link removed]]
