John, Former Republican Governor Larry Hogan jumping into Maryland’s open Senate race this late in the game throws a huge wrench into our plans to defend our razor-thin Senate majority.
This has the potential to turn the 2024 election cycle entirely upside down, because the stakes couldn’t possibly be any higher.
Everything we care about — abortion access, affordable health care, climate justice, everything — hinges on our ability to maintain our narrow Senate majority.
That’s why we need to stick to our campaign plan, John: Reach Maryland voters where they’re at and talk to them about a better future for our state.
Will you please consider splitting a donation between my Senate campaign and 1973 Action Fund to help us do that? Our February fundraising deadline is coming up and we really need you on the team ASAP.
Hogan’s involvement complicates things, but we had a plan in place before he announced, and it’s still the plan now:
We need to counter our opponents’ HUGE spending advantages (to the tune of $30M+ on ads alone) by getting our Maryland-first message in front of voters by reaching them at their doors, on the phones, and in their communities.
If we stick to that plan, John, and leave it all on the field to reach as many voters as possible, I’m confident that we can handle this and any other hurdle we come across.
But that means ramping up our field operations sooner than expected, which is why I need your help TODAY: Can I count on your support, John? If you could chip in a split donation of $25 right now, it would go a long way in helping us hit our February fundraising goal, win this race, and hold the Senate.
Together,
Angela Alsobrooks
