Up to 10,000 more children now have access to health insurance after Katie announced the permanent expansion of KidsCare financial eligibility. After making it official, Katie said, "This is a monumental step towards protecting our children, promoting a healthier future for Arizonans, and building an Arizona where every child has the chance to thrive."

Sedona Red Rock News: Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs opens Rockin’ River Ranch State Park

Katie celebrated the opening of Arizona’s 33rd state park, Rockin’ River Ranch State Park, which includes six multi-use trails that can be enjoyed via horseback, hike, or bicycle. Katie dedicated one of these trails to Janice Miano, who has been an environmental activist and volunteer for over 35 years.

KGUN Tucson: Governor Hobbs delivers modified State of the State address in Cochise County

Just like in Yuma, Katie gave a State of the State address in Cochise County that specifically highlighted achievements and challenges unique to the area. During the town hall, she answered questions and emphasized the importance of having roundtable discussions like this to come together and hear different perspectives.

ABC15: Arizona governor signs bill giving counties more time to count votes amid concerns over recounts

Election workers raised concerns that votes may not be tallied in time if the results were close enough to trigger a mandatory recount. Katie negotiated and signed a bipartisan bill that will move Arizona’s primary election up one week to July 30 and ensure every eligible vote is counted.
