The Week in Review

Happy Friday!

I hope you had a wonderful week. I am grateful to serve you all in the 118th Congress. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week.

Conducting a Transcribed Interview with Jim Biden

The House Judiciary and Oversight Committees brought in Jim Biden—President Biden’s younger brother—for a closed-door, transcribed interview this week.

The committee members and I examined Jim Biden’s shady business dealings with China, suspicious loans made to President Biden, and usage of the Biden name to influence policy decisions.

In a nutshell, Jim Biden’s testimony was filled with inconsistencies and damning information.

Jim Biden initially claimed that he never used his brother to advance his business interests, but former close business associate Tony Bobulinski confirmed to Congress that he did use his brother to advance his China-related business.

Jim Biden also testified that Hunter Biden and China’s CEFC Chairman Ye were “50/50 partners.” Jim Biden has previously said that Chairman Ye was the protégé of Xi Jinping. This close relationship between Hunter, Chairman Ye, and CCP President Xi, is alarming and suggests that the Biden Family has been compromised.

Jim Biden is yet another piece of the puzzle needed to impeach President Biden and ensure that all bad actors involved in the Biden influence-peddling operation are held accountable.

We’ll be conducting a deposition with Jim’s nephew—Hunter—next Wednesday.

Commemorating Presidents’ Day

On Monday, I honored the legacies of American presidents including the great George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

I have high regard for President Lincoln as he was the first leader of the Republican Party and issued the Emancipation Proclamation—one of the most important directives in American history.

Speaking to BASIS Chandler Students and Staff

I had a wonderful time speaking with BASIS Chandler students and staff in Washington. BASIS is a tuition-free, public charter school that serves students in grades 5-12. Since 1998, each BASIS charter school has followed Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and liberal arts programming.

We discussed issues impacting Arizonans as well as the state of the U.S. House of Representatives.

I thank them for stopping by.

Surveying Gateway Airport's Expansion

This week, Team Biggs attended the unveiling of the new, $28 million five-gate concourse at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Nearly 2 million passengers choose Gateway Airport every year, and these upgrades will help improve efficiency and ease travelers’ minds on their journeys.

I’m excited to witness such passenger growth and investment so close to home!

Celebrating Wedgewood Animal Pharmacy’s New Chandler Facility

Team Biggs participated in Wedgewood’s groundbreaking of its new state-of-the-art veterinary pharmacy in Chandler. Wedgewood is the nation’s leading provider of high-quality compounded medications for animals.

The 90,000-square-foot facility will meet the growing demand for high-quality veterinary medications and highlights how Arizona is becoming a hub for healthcare and biotechnology.

I am grateful to see this investment and economic growth in our district.

What’s the Biggs Idea? Podcast w/ Col. Douglas Macgregor

Colonel Douglas Macgregor—a retired U.S. Army Colonel and a former senior advisor to the Secretary of Defense under President Trump—joined me on this week’s episode of the What’s the Biggs Idea? podcast. Colonel Macgregor now serves as the CEO of Our Country Our Choice (OCOC), a “new people’s movement and media platform.” We discussed the United States’s involvement in Ukraine as well as the Biden Administration’s failed foreign policy over the past three years. Veterans Corner: Veteran Service Officers (VSO)

Because the VA benefits process can be very difficult to navigate, Team Biggs highly recommends that veterans seek out a qualified, certified Veteran Service Officer (VSO) to file their claims.

When veterans file their claims on their own, they have a greater chance of being denied or sent to appeals. A claim in the appeals process may take several years to resolve—in some cases as long as 10 years.

A VSO will not charge a veteran for filing a claim with them and can be helpful during this process. Please, feel welcome to reach out to my Director of Veterans Services, Lee Huff, at 480-699-8239 for information on qualified VSOs in the veterans community.
