Stop Sexualizing Kids

I’m disgusted that Illinois State Representative Anne Stava-Murray introduced a bill to classify a parent who denies their child a sex change, puberty blockers, or an abortion as a child abuser.

Why are Democrats set on sexualizing kids, filling kids’ heads with unscientific non-sense that you can be any gender you want, and telling parents that the government knows better how to raise your child?

America's Border Invasion

Immigration isn’t a new problem for America, it’s just exacerbated by the horrific policies of Joe Biden and his administration.

Joe Biden and liberals are selling out America to illegals, not prioritizing the safety and security of Americans.

Countless U.S. Presidents have warned about limiting immigration and ensuring America endures as a country, not taken over by non-citizens.

Notably, even America's 30th President, Calvin Coolidge, noted that "America must be kept American."

In 1995, Bill Clinton warned about the impact of illegal immigration on America. Clinton noted "the public service they [illegal aliens] use impose burdens on our taxpayers."

Today, Joe Biden and Sec. Mayorkas are allowing an invasion at our southern border that is destroying America.

Illegal aliens are taking social security benefits from hardworking Americans who spent a lifetime paying into the system, fentanyl is flowing freely across our border, and Americans have lost their life because of the failed policies of the Biden Administration.

Liberals don't care about the closing the border and protecting Americans or the values that made America the greatest nation in the world. They only care about changing America to the woke, radical, communist paradise they envision.

'Teddy' Roosevelt once said: "To bear the name of American is to bear the most honorable of titles; and whoever does not so believe has no business to bear the name at all."

Liberals clearly have forgotten this sage advice and are set on changing the America that you and I love. Liberals trample on our rights, Constitution and history while promoting illegal aliens over citizens.

Donald Trump was right when he said immigration reform "should mean improvements to our laws and policies to make life better for American citizens.

America can stop Biden's Border Crisis if we enforce the law, build the wall, and prioritize protecting Americans.

The Senate must pass HR 2 and put American safety first.

Rein in Washington's Bloated Budget

The House has passed 10 out of 12 of the appropriations bills for FY24 out of Committee and passed 7 appropriation bills on the Floor of the House. These 7 bills were passed through regular order where each member gets a voice in deciding where your tax dollars are spent and where to make cuts to the budget.

To avoid a shutdown, Congress passed a short-term continuing resolution (CR) - that I voted against - which is quickly expiring on March 1.

On Wednesday, I joined my Freedom Caucus colleagues in requesting an update from Speaker Johnson on the negotiations for FY24 appropriations. We must ensure the hard work to make massive cuts to spending are not squandered with a last-minute omnibus.

America is $34 trillion in debt and it's vital we ensure spending is below the spending caps we put in place a year ago.

I will keep you up to date as the appropriations process continues.

Biden Passes the Buck

On Wednesday, Joe Biden announced he was cancelling student debt for 150,000 people.

Let me be clear, Biden is not cancelling debt, he's just shifting who will be responsible for paying back the debt.

He’s forcing hardworking Americans who pay their own expenses to have to foot the bill for those who choose to take out debt, go to college, and expect a free ride.

Back to the Moon

Odysseus, a spacecraft built in America, landed on the moon on Thursday. This is the first time since 1972 that a spacecraft made in America has touched down on the moon.

It's great to see American ingenuity leading to more space exploration!

Legislative Action

I cosponsored H.R.7404, Rep. Crane’s bill, to help protect our nation’s border by setting up protections against the new threat of border crossing through tunnels by mandating yearly reports on all activity taking place within these tunnels.

I cosponsored H.R.7399, Rep. Van Drew’s bill, to discontinue the American Community Survey.

I cosponsored H.R.7392, Rep. Steube’s bill, to cut off all funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and to reallocate any potential remaining funds to investing in the construction of a southern border wall.

In the District

Edgefield County is building a $42.5 million Law Enforcement Center to house the Sheriff's Office, Magistrate's Office, and detention center to one location. The project is running on schedule and should be opened in 2025. This will increase efficiency, ensure standards are upheld for detainees, and bolsters officer safety in the detention center.

E.A. Sween Co. is expanding into the North Greenwood Industrial Park and will plan to provide over 300 jobs for the community. The company prepares sandwiches for four different brands.

Congratulations to Doug Wilbanks on being recognized for over 50 years of service to Oconee County. Doug was not only a first responder but also the Fire Chief for Salem, SC. Scott Krein, the Director of Oconee Emergency Serivces, and a parade of fire trucks visited Doug at the Lila Doyle Nursing Home recently to present the award for years of faithful service.
