My name is Keir Bradford-Grey, and I'm running to be Pennsylvania's next attorney general.

Attorneys general across the nation are dealing with the consequences of the rollback of Roe v. Wade. And while some are fighting back against draconian laws that put people's lives at risk, others are actively stripping away our fundamental freedoms.

Abortion is on the ballot in 2024, John, and AGs have a really important role to play in this fight.

We cannot for a single second let our guard down or push this issue to the side. I will NEVER back down from the fight to protect your fundamental freedoms. It's clear to me that extreme Republicans will never stop trying to strip us of the right to make decisions about our own bodies, no matter the cost.

So, in return, let me be VERY clear about my position on abortion as Pennsylvania's next attorney general: Abortion care is health care. Politicians are not doctors. And the right to make decisions about your body is yours -- and yours alone. 

As the only Black woman in this race, my dedication to reproductive freedom is personal. Here's why that matters:

- About 25% of women will have an abortion in their lifetime, and 60% of those women are already mothers.

- Criminalizing abortion does NOT stop abortion -- it only forces people to seek out unsafe abortions.

- Abortion bans increase health AND financial risks for those seeking care.

- 40% of women who get abortions in the U.S. are Black.

Not only do attorneys general interpret and enforce the law, but they're also responsible for providing accurate information about the legality of abortion services in their states. As someone with ties to our most vulnerable communities, I know that who disseminates that information -- and how it's disseminated -- will look different for different groups.

Pennsylvania deserves an AG who not only understands the law, but also knows how to use it to protect ALL families -- especially those most affected by anti-choice extremism.
