Russia Hoax 2.0

In recent updates on the case concerning Alexander Smirnov, he has been arrested again for allegedly lying to the FBI about President Joe Biden’s family and their supposed dealings in Ukraine. Here is what the mainstream media and the Biden Administration are not telling you:

The House Oversight Committee Conducted Our Due Diligence: When questioned by House Oversight about their confidence in Alexander Smirnov as a confidential human source, the FBI claimed that he was credible and trusted. The Committee repeatedly asked for an explanation of the actions taken by the FBI and the DOJ to verify the informant’s claims but received no response from the agencies.

The FBI's Gatekeeping Role: The House Oversight Committee never knew the identity of the informant and never had the ability to speak to him because the FBI deemed that revealing his identity would jeopardize his safety and value to the agency. Smirnov had worked with the FBI for over a decade, earning six figures as an informant. Corrupt FBI Director Wray, former U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania Scott Brady, and even Ranking Member Jamie Raskin are on record stating that this FBI confidential source is credible.

On Accountability: It seems the FBI possessed the record alleging a VP Biden foreign bribery scheme for years but took no action to verify the troubling claims within the record until Congress became aware of it and demanded access.

Moving Forward: We need to bring Smirnov back to testify before Congress to obtain answers about the FBI's reliance on the information he provided, his payment, and the delayed investigation by U.S. Attorney David Weiss. The House's impeachment inquiry, focusing on Joe Biden's business dealings, continues based on a broader set of evidence, not solely relying on Smirnov's testimony. The pursuit of truth and legislative reform continues amid President Biden's ongoing denial and calls for accountability; we are on it.
