Small but Mighty
Great news! Greater one-horned rhino Alta recently welcomed a
female calf. After spending some time bonding in a private maternity
area, mom and her brave little one ventured out onto the sprawling
Asian Plains at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park to join the rest of the
herd. Greater one-horned rhinos are threatened by habitat loss
and the illegal wildlife trade, and every birth is crucial to the
